Program Overview

The Mathematics Master’s Program at Galatasaray University (GSU), conducted in English at this state university, provides students with a research-oriented education that delves deeply into essential topics in theoretical and applied mathematics.

Students may choose from the following electives, along with courses approved by their advisors and the Institute from other relevant programs:

  • All electives listed on the current mathematics elective page
  • A 400-level undergraduate Mathematics course
  • A course from the Applied Doctorate program
  • A course from another department with Institute approval

Thesis

Completion of a Master’s thesis is a fundamental requirement of the program. This provides students an opportunity to conduct meaningful research under the guidance of a faculty advisor.

Admission Requirements

  • Degree Requirements: Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Physics, or Engineering.
  • ALES or GRE: 70 or 153 reppectively
  • Language Proficiency: Minimum 70 points from YDS/YÖKDİL (English) or 84 points from TOEFL IBT.

Interested candidates need to register through the university’s application automation system, providing all required documents within the designated registration period.

  • Mathematics Written & Oral Exam: July 2, 2024
