This year I am helping the department organize bi-weekly departmental seminars. We aim to attract audience members from industry and computer science departments as well. Students of all levels are welcome. People not affiliated with Galatasaray are kindly requested to send an email to [email protected]. Born in 1981. Graduated from University Grenoble. Master and PhD in Paris (pure mathematics). Worked in Paris, Istanbul, Münster as teaching/research assistant, assistant professor, post-doc respectively. Since 2020, also working in topics related to machine learning. Currently affiliated to Galatasaray University as assistant professor. Speaks Turkish, French, English and German. Fan of basketball and jazz. More about me is here.

Workshop on philosophy and history of formal sciences
We had an very insightful day in Yıldız Teknik University, in the event co-organized with Pascale Roure. After talks of grad students, Alex Paseau and Fabian Fregel presented their new work titled Revisiting the Roots: Historical Mathematics and Contemporary Philosophy.

Boolstering Stochastic Gradient Descent with Model Building: SMB
